COVID-19 SECURITY MEASURES
Designed with the recommendations set out by the World Health Organization (WHO) and ECDC. It minimizes contact with our staff while ensuring you have all you need for an enjoyable vacation.
Our base offices
- Disinfected at the end of every working day
- Regular disinfecting of office surfaces throughout the day
- Cash transaction machines and tablets disinfected after each guest
- Contactless payment preferred
- Each base will display our COVID-19 measures on an information board
- Contact with our staff will be behind a plexiglass screen and the reception process will be conducted in the open whenever possible
Our base staff
- Have temperatures taken before starting work
- Wear masks when in contact with guests
- Observe social distancing guidelines (2m apart)
- Regular hand disinfection and hand washing
Boat cleaning process
- Disinfection of boats with dry steam for a true deep cleaning, scientifically certified to decontaminate, disinfect and deep clean all surfaces (VAPORE-3000 System) after return of each charter and before cleaning staff enter the boat, as outlined by WHO and ECDC
- Disinfecting of all inside surfaces with disinfectant and mattresses sanitized
- For each charter, a sanitized galley inventory set is placed in a sealed bag on the saloon table and sanitized bed linen is in a sealed bag on the beds
- There is a second fogging with ecologically friendly formula and disinfecting of the interior after cleaning is completed
- Finally, we disinfect the boat exterior and lockers including cushions
Check in and check out processes
- Only one guest/skipper will be allowed in the office (procedures will be conducted outside wherever possible) - the rest of the crew need to observe social distancing guidelines
- Guests will be required to wear masks
- Guests will be asked to sanitize their hands
- For check out, only the skipper can take part in the technical briefing with one of our base team (wearing a face mask and gloves), observing social distancing guidelines. The rest of the crew need to observe social distancing guidelines
- For check in, only the skipper is allowed to be on the pontoon - the rest of the crew need to observe social distancing guidelines
On board hygiene
- Skippers will be supplied with masks and gloves
- Guests will be provided with local emergency numbers
- Each starter pack includes 1x 0.5L bottle of alcohol-based disinfecting agent suitable for hands and surfaces
- The galley inventory set will be in a sealed bag for you to put away.
- The bed linen will be in a sealed bag for you to make up the beds
COVID-19 BOOKING POLICIES
We have adjusted our policies regarding existing reservations and new reservations in the context of uncertainty related to COVID-19.
Book with confidence knowing we can reschedule your booking to any of our 60+ destinations worldwide if you cannot travel as planned due to COVID-19 disruption.
For Bahamas and Caribbean bookings departing between January and March, you can switch to another Caribbean destination free of charge if there is COVID-19 disruption if you book a similar size boat (up to 2ft longer) and depart in the same month.
If you meet these terms and conditions, you will not be charged the difference if the booking is more expensive and will receive a credit note for the difference in price if the booking is cheaper.
Our flexible terms and conditions
If you are unable to get to your departure destination due to COVID-19 disruption*, you have the following options:
- You can reschedule without a fee for alternative dates in 2020 or 2021. Your deposit will be transferred to your new booking and, if you adhere to the balance payment schedule of your original booking, making payment when your balance is due now or imminently, you will receive a 10% discount on the balance due
- If you haven't decided on your dates to reschedule, you will receive a credit for the deposit paid which you can use towards a future charter for departure in 2020 or 2021. If you adhere to the balance payment schedule of your original booking, making payment when your balance is due now or imminently, you will receive a 10% bonus on the credit note value
- When rescheduling, new dates will be subject to current pricing. You will have to pay the difference if the booking is more expensive and there will not be a refund if the booking is less expensive.
*Disruption is qualified as:
We are unable to operate your charter at the departure destination due to government restrictions relating to COVID-19
You are unable to travel to your departure destination due to government travel restrictions relating to COVID-19
In the case of disruption listed above, our team will contact you advising you to reschedule or receive a credit note. If you confirm to proceed with your booking, rescheduling or credit notes will not be offered if you then later decide to cancel.
Please note, in the event the country you are visiting allows entry but requires a negative test for COVID-19 which you are unable to provide, our policy does not class such situation as COVID-19 disruption and normal cancellation terms would apply.
Our terms and conditions for sailboat / catamaran rental
- All prices are in US dollars and are subject to change without notice.
- All prices are for 7, 10 or 14 nights, but it is also possible to book for another number of days. Quote upon request
- Skipper only packages and/or chef / attendant-food supplies package also available. Quotes upon request.
- The lease can start every day of the week.
- In the Bahamas, because of the time needed for yacht preparation, check-in time is always after 4 PM (the exact time will be confirmed by the base manager on your arrival day. Disembarking must be done before 9 AM.
Mandatory extras
On Lake Champlain:
- A cleaning fee of 5% (minimum $50 USD - maximum $150 USD+ 8% NYTax) will be added
- A damage waiver fee will be added to every bareboat charter. The amount of the established fee is determined on boat size and age.
- A state tax will be charged on all bookings departing from VT, RI, FL, MD and USVI.
In the Bahamas
- A linen and cleaning fee, variables depending on the size of the boat ($185 US to $450 US) will be added on bookings for the Bahamas.
- A damage waiver fee will be added to every bareboat charter. The amount of the established fee is determined on boat size and age.
- A Bahamian port tax of 4% will be charged on all bookings for the Bahamas.
Optional Extras
- Skipper only packages and/or attendant-food supplies package are also available. Quotes upon request.
- Provisioning service for charters out of Georgetown and Nassau are available.
- Fishing rods and gears are available either from Nassau or Georgetown. The cost is $75.00 per week.
- Kayak and SUP rentals available.
- Internet & cell phone rental with a prepaid card
